HFG Farm Shop
Our farm shop, 'HFG Farm Shop, Beeston St Andrew, Norfolk' - just two miles out of Norwich on the B1150 (North Walsham Road) is run by our friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic team, led by Jo our manager and Pauline her deputy, providing good old fashioned service and a warm welcome.
Most of our fruit and vegetables are planted, then carefully selected and harvested by hand on a daily basis from our own or nearby fields and orchards, and for sale in our farm shop on the day they are harvested.
We can show our customers where the food they buy from us is produced and grown - ‘food miles' can be measured in ‘farm yards'!
We source our free range and rare breed meat and poultry, fish, milk, cheese and non perishable produce from other, often very small, local producers and suppliers enabling us to offer our customers a varied, wide and innovative range of delicious goodies (see our 'What we sell' page for a more comprehensive guide).
We enjoy working with local schools and other groups. Visiting our shop and farm helps children make the link between the food they eat and the countryside that produces it and encourages them to eat a healthy diet, including their '5 a day'.
We provide a delivery service to our larger customers such as local nursing homes, hotels, schools and businesses and plan to extend this service in the future.
The fresh fish van parks outside our farm shop every Thursday between about 9am and 2pm. You can buy fabulous local, UK and continental seafood.
At HFG Farm Shop our customers enjoy the experience of unrushed, yet convenient shopping with parking right outside the door. They come not only to buy food, but to talk and enthuse about it with each other and our team. It doesn't matter if our vegetables don't conform to 'standard' shapes and sizes - it's the taste and where they come from that matters!
